Program Description
The BR Guest Corporate Internship Program is a credit based, unpaid internship
designed for college students and graduate students to gain practical, hands-on
work experience in corporate operations. The program exposes interns to day to
day operations and fosters students’ professional development and understanding
of the hospitality industry.
It is an 8 week, 20 hour per week program, reporting to the head of the
department. In addition to assisting the department in everyday tasks, interns
will attend weekly meetings, events, classes, and development courses that
promote professionalism and a successful career in the hospitality industry. Towards
the end of the internship, they will prepare a final project of their choice,
with approval by the head of the department. The project will be presented to
the Executive Committee for evaluation and feedback. The objective is to obtain
comprehensive taste of the restaurant business and its various departments and
moving parts.
Location/Departments
Our
Corporate Support Centers are based in SoHo, New York City. Internships are
available in the following departments:

Eligibility
Students
enrolled in a hospitality program and students whose concentration is relevant
to the department are welcome to apply. Requirements include a semester or
total cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and students must be able to earn academic
credit for participation in the program.
